Late evenings at Norrbyskär are sometimes absolutely quiet. There are no fans or ventilation systems humming in these 110 years old houses, the birds have gone to sleep and so have the neighbors’ kids. If the wind has subsided, even the ocean is silent. The loudest noise may actually be the pages I turn in a book, sitting in this chair reading. Sometimes, moments like these, you have to just close your eyes and listen.
And hear nothing, for once.
